Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Labor Standards: Analyze work samples and methods to measure work performance and develop labor standards.
  • Improve Labor Utilization: Study work methods, test modifications, design new methods, and recommend job restructuring to improve labor utilization.
  • Enhance Workflow Efficiency: Study process flowcharts, recommend modifications in workflow, workstations, and product, and develop new procedures to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Reduce Waste and Improve Productivity: Study methods, equipment, and operator techniques to identify and analyze waste, and recommend changes to reduce waste and improve productivity.
  • Implement Work Improvement Programs: Confer with management and engineering staff to implement work improvement programs.
  • Prepare Work Analysis Reports: Collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends to prepare work analysis reports.
  • Recommend and Assist with Work Improvement Projects: Train and guide operators and supervisors to recommend and assist with work improvement projects.
  • Maintain Operations Guidelines: Write and update policies, procedures, and methods to maintain operations guidelines.
  • Contribute to Team Effort: Accomplish related results as needed to contribute to team effort.
  • Lead and Manage Projects: Lead and manage projects to improve or facilitate changes to operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Related Discipline: Possess a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in Industrial/Manufacturing Environment: Have three years' experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, preferably.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Methods: Possess knowledge of lean manufacturing methods and procedures.
  • Strong Organizational, Problem-Solving, and Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to Travel: Ability to occasionally travel to supplier and customer locations as needed.
