The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified and career-minded Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work as a LPN Charge Nurse in our 57 bed skilled nursing center.

As a LPN, you will provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). You will lead a team of CNAs assigned to your area and assist them with daily tasks as needed.

You will also be responsible for assisting with admissions, discharges, IV antibiotics, peg tubes, disease process management, assessments, patient transfers, and more.

The Shift

Weekends Only - Saturday/Sunday 8 hour day shift

The Work

As a LPN, you will provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by CNAs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with assigned nursing personnel to plan the shift's services, programs, and activities.
  • Oversee the activity of assigned nursing assistants.
  • Administer professional nursing services and medication to residents.
  • Ensure residents receive services in accordance with their care plan.
  • Assist with new admissions and discharges.
  • Consult with residents, family members, and physicians in planning the resident's care, treatment, and rehabilitation.
  • Medication administration.
  • Visit residents to observe and evaluate their physical and emotional status.
  • Notify the resident's attending physician and next-of-kin when there is a change in the resident's condition.
  • Report problem areas to the RN Supervisor or Clinical Director.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times.
