About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Operations Manager to join our team at Vincentian Collaborative System. As a key member of our catering department, you will be responsible for assisting, mentoring, and training our catering staff to ensure the proper execution of menus and recipes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chef Manager of Catering in planning and executing catering events
  • Mentor and train catering staff on menu preparation, food safety, and customer service
  • Develop and maintain regular cleaning schedules to ensure peak performance and compliance with government regulations
  • Manage our Point of Sale and catering software system
  • Participate in and attend various committees/meetings, representing the catering department
  • Meet with vendors and attend food distribution shows to evaluate new food products and equipment
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • A minimum of four years of progressive culinary experience, including supervisory roles, required
  • Passion for food and innovation
  • Experience as a cook or chef in a catering environment preferred
  • Technology skills with experience entering data into software systems
  • Driver's License preferred
  • Allegheny County Health Department certification preferred
  • Serv-Safe Director Certificate preferred
