SUMMARY:
Chemtall, a division of SNF Holding Company, is currently in search of Packaging Operators. This entry-level role is situated within one of our Emulsion Production Facilities. The Packaging Operator plays a crucial role in production services, product sampling, packaging, and handling of Emulsion products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and resolve issues related to packaging machinery.
- Exhibit proficiency in all necessary documentation, including communication boards, standard operating procedures, and quality control visuals.
- Accurately document and maintain records such as Log Sheets, Weight Sheets, and/or Blend Sheets.
- Operate forklifts and perform necessary inspections.
- Prepare product samples as needed.
- Ensure proper packaging and labeling of finished products.
- Maintain a tidy and safe working environment.
- Recognize and comprehend the properties and hazards associated with chemicals.
- Demonstrate the ability to meet or surpass established production targets and standards.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform additional tasks as assigned, which may include training others in the same role, sanitation duties, reporting labor and production metrics, and participating in safety committees.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, quick learning capability, and adaptability to change.
- Physical capability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs during an 8 to 12-hour shift.
