Newborn Hearing Screen Specialist

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a skilled Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of newborns and their families.
Responsibilities- Conduct newborn hearing screens in a hospital setting, utilizing video and printed tools to educate parents about the importance of the screen.
- Enter patient data and validate hearing screen results accurately.
- Assist with confirming or rescheduling outpatient appointments, addressing equipment issues, and training new staff.
- Perform newborn hearing screens, verify insurance information, document hearing screen results, and follow protocol for timely submission of billing.
- Adhere to hospital, company, and program policies related to security, identification, infection control, and safety awareness.
- Recognize potential problems and obtain assistance when necessary, in a timely manner.
- Experience working with infants preferred.
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry.
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
