Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team at the Cleveland Clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for recognizing, managing, and rehabilitating injuries to professional, amateur, and recreational athletes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare athletes for practice or competition
  • Evaluate and manage injuries, determining whether a referral is necessary
  • Maintain a medical file on each athlete and act as a liaison between the physician and the athlete
  • Implement treatment and rehabilitation programs under the supervision of a physician
  • Develop conditioning programs for injured and non-injured athletes
Additional Responsibilities for Clinical/Ambulatory Setting
  • Perform comprehensive health maintenance reviews and provide oral reports to physicians
  • Scribe documentation of visits into medical records
  • Administer treatments under the direction of physicians
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and completion of an Athletic Training Program accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs
  • Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC) certified by National Athletic Trainers Board of Certification (NATBOC)
  • State licensure as an Athletic Trainer (AT) if required by state law
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements
  • Requires full body motion, including handling and lifting up to 75 pounds
  • Manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
Protective Equipment

The successful candidate will follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
