Position Summary: The Program Coordinator is tasked with the comprehensive oversight of Meaningful Day and Support Services, ensuring that program participants benefit from:
  • Engagement in community activities aimed at enhancing socially appropriate behaviors and fostering confidence in public settings.
  • Access to transportation and travel training to promote independence among program participants.
  • Skill development in self-advocacy to empower participants to effectively communicate their needs and aspirations.
  • Provision of nursing and personal care support during service delivery.
  • Assurance that services are conducted in community environments, avoiding segregation unless specified in the Person-Centered Plan or requested by participants.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two (2) years of college education and/or two (2) years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
  • Ability to interact professionally with Virtuous staff and stakeholders.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups.
  • Demonstrated passion, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven mindset, and self-motivation.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record for at least two (2) years.
  • Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment screenings.
  • Ability to provide comprehensive direct care and implement safety techniques for all program participants.
  • Exceptional leadership and coaching skills.
  • Willingness to obtain approved DDA certification in employment and achieve CMT status.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish relationships within the community to create meaningful volunteer and employment opportunities for program participants.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of Individualized Person-Centered Plans.
  • Serve as the primary contact for arranging transportation for individuals utilizing these services.
  • Oversee the creation, monitoring, and implementation of the Weekly Calendar, ensuring alignment with individual preferences and available resources.
  • Provide oversight and supervision of Direct Support Professionals (DSP) during day services.
  • Assist in the training and development of DSP staff.
  • Ensure that vehicles are accessible for DSPs to transport participants to various outings.
  • Execute duties as a Certified Medication Technician as delegated by nursing staff, in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing coverage on a daily basis.
  • Prepare necessary documentation and reports as assigned.
  • Monitor Meaningful Day Services to ensure the continued quality of care.
  • Conduct annual evaluations of Direct Support Professionals' performance.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Executive Director and COO.
