Position Overview:
In this role, you will oversee medical management for employees injured in the workplace, engaging in case management through both telephonic and face-to-face interactions with affected individuals and healthcare providers.
Your responsibilities will include coordinating with employers and claims specialists to ensure effective medical care that facilitates the injured employee's return to work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate medical evaluations and treatment plans.
2. Collaborate with physicians and injured employees to develop treatment strategies and discuss return-to-work objectives.
3. Keep employers and referral sources informed about medical treatments and work status.
4. Coordinate additional services such as home health care, durable medical equipment, and physical rehabilitation.
5. Communicate with employers to ascertain job requirements and explore modified or alternative employment options.
Utilize Evidence-Based Guidelines to assess and discuss treatment outcomes with physicians and injured workers, ensuring effective results.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of case management observations, assessments, and plans.
Generate reports for referral sources to convey case status and recommendations, along with ongoing correspondence to all parties involved in the treatment plan.
Participate in telephonic case conferences as needed, managing a caseload of at least 35 files and achieving a minimum of 145 billable hours monthly, with a quality compliance rate of 95% or higher.
About You
Required Qualifications:
1. Nursing or medical degree from an accredited institution with an active Registered Nursing license or medical license in the relevant state.
2. 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
3. Commitment to completing necessary training to maintain proficiency and licensing.
4. Ability to travel for appointments within a specified radius.
5. Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree.
2. Experience in Workers' Compensation.
3. Certification in a related field.
4. 1-3 years of clinical experience.

1. Knowledgeable in managed care with a focus on criteria, guidelines, and national standards of practice.
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with organizational and leadership abilities.
3. Self-motivated with proactive case file management skills.
4. Excellent time management capabilities.
