Job Overview

We are seeking an Associate Fire Protection Engineer to join our team in Maryland or Virginia. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from life safety code consulting to sprinkler design and fire alarm design.

Responsibilities
  • Perform professional-level fire protection engineering services, including life safety code consulting, sprinkler design, and fire alarm design.
  • Develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports as needed.
  • Assist in the resolution of design problems through field investigations, detailed design work, and coordination of specific design aspects.
  • Identify applicable codes and standards to reference in evaluating how to respond to inquiries.
  • Conduct and document basic building code analyses, egress analyses, and fire detection and alarm systems reviews.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or higher in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or other related engineering field.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills to write reports, business correspondence, presentations, and procedure manuals.
  • Passion for advancing the science of safety and exceeding client expectations.
