Job Title: Residential Portfolio Manager

We are seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee the operations of a 700-unit high-rise residential apartment building in transition. This challenging role requires a strategic, hands-on property manager with a focus on driving operational efficiencies, stabilizing resident relations, and leading a team to turn the property into a desirable community for residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Property Operations: Oversee all daily operations, ensuring that the building meets compliance standards and operating procedures. Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure high-quality and timely service delivery.
  • Resident Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, addressing concerns, resolving complaints, and fostering a positive living environment. Develop and implement strategies to improve resident satisfaction and retention.
  • Financial Management: Develop, manage, and optimize the property budget; oversee rent collection, and manage financial reporting. Provide forecasts and work with the executive team to meet revenue and expense targets.
  • Maintenance and Facilities Management: Work with the Building Engineer to oversee maintenance and repair needs, focusing on critical issues impacting resident satisfaction. Coordinate ongoing property improvements and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Staff Leadership: Hire, train, and manage on-site staff, including leasing agents, maintenance personnel, and office administrators. Foster a supportive and results-oriented team environment.

Salary: $80K-90K + commensurate with experience
Location: Washington DC (Anacostia)
Benefits: Eligible for year-end bonus, Health Insurance, PTO and Holiday Pay. Yardi Voyager and Rent Cafe Experience Preferred.
