Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time Senior Analyst of Global Tax Strategy who will report directly to the Senior Manager of Tax Strategy. This role is integral in supporting the Director and Managers of Global Tax Strategy in the overall tax strategy for the RCL Group of companies. Key responsibilities include the monthly and quarterly forecasting of global tax expenses, business plan tax projections, compliance with BEPS Action 13, tax research, documentation of projects and transactions, and presenting tax strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consolidate and analyze the tax expense forecast for international subsidiaries on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Calculate and perform variance analysis for assigned companies' income tax forecasts monthly.
  • Assist in preparing the BEPS Action 13 documentation and ensure timely filing of related notifications globally.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as finance, legal, accounting, and commercial development on various transactions and contracts.
  • Maintain and support documentation necessary for global tax audits.
  • Advise executive management on the tax implications of business activities and initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of tax positions and new business initiatives on timely filed tax returns and income tax provisions.
  • Conduct tax research on existing or proposed transactions and document findings in technical memoranda.
  • Assist in forecasting income tax expenses for select non-U.S. companies, including variance analysis.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience: A minimum of two years in Public Accounting or five years in an industry Tax Department.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting; advanced tax degree preferred.
  • Certifications: Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Adviser, CPA, or Juris Doctor preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
  • Proficient technical research skills.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze various business documents and regulations.
  • Proficient in writing reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and manage diverse variables in less standardized situations.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
  • Familiarity with standard PC software including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and online research tools.
