About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a developmentally appropriate classroom environment that promotes emotional and social growth for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom environment
  • Promoting student academic achievement and social skills through engaging lesson plans and activities
  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student
  • Communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to education
  • Collaborating with other educators and professionals to provide comprehensive support services to students

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful as a Special Education Teacher at Kaleidoscope Education Solutions, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • A valid New Jersey DOE Professional Educator License
  • Praxis Basic Skills assessments
  • edTPA assessment
  • Determination to drive student achievement and set high expectations for all students
  • The ability to motivate, support, and challenge students in a student-centered, standards-driven classroom community
