About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master to join our team. As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for facilitating Agile best practices and mentoring new team members on Agile processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach a development team to focus on sprint goals and ensure the project is successfully progressed.
  • Apply basic Scrum principles and concepts to resolve routine problems.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Support the management team in communicating with clients and stakeholders to manage expectations.
  • Collect and write detailed user stories and work with the team and client to identify associated tasks and acceptance criteria.
  • Analyze business processes and work with the project team to implement and improve processes.
  • Maintain a product backlog, support QA and requirement validation, meet with various stakeholders to discuss needs, and provide suggestions during stakeholder interviews and requirements gathering.
  • Provide documentation for new efforts, including level of effort analysis, plans or timelines, requirements documents, and other required documentation.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience as the Scrum Master of a development team.
  • Experience gathering and documenting technical and business requirements.
  • Experience with JIRA.
  • Experience teaching technical teams the basic Agile framework concepts.
  • Top Secret clearance.
  • HS diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the project management framework.
  • Knowledge of agency or intelligence community and IT infrastructures.
  • Possession of excellent problem-solving skills, to provide technical assistance to IT development teams.
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills, to successfully interact with clients, engineers, and managers.
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Master's degree a plus.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification.
  • Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $47,000.00 to $96, annualized USD.
