About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement recreational programs, including individual and team activities, indoor and outdoor games, and special events for guests.
  • Manage pool activities and supplies, ensuring a safe and clean environment for guests.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and preventive maintenance of equipment and facilities to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Issue and maintain inventory for recreational equipment and supplies, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Coordinate social events and activities, working closely with other departments to meet guest needs.
  • Enter guest information into our computer system, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
  • Post charges to guest accounts, transfer charges/credits, and run necessary computer reports.
  • Anticipate and handle guest issues and concerns, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel features, services, outlets, and hours of operation, ensuring accurate information for guests.
  • Practice emergency procedures, including CPR/First Aid, and assist in hotel emergency situations as needed.
  • Represent the hotel and company in a professional manner at all times, both in and outside of work.
  • Support Quality Assurance initiatives, striving to continuously improve our services and programs.
  • Ensure that the Inn at Perry Cabin philosophy is upheld, promoting a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Observe and maintain standards for the department, including image, appearance, and grooming, representing the company and profession to outside organizations and the community.
  • Comply with policies of Inn at Perry Cabin and Belmond Hotels, maintaining confidentiality and security of all guest and general hotel information.
  • Assist in other areas as needed, supporting the overall success of our hospitality team.
Supervisory Responsibilities

The Activities Coordinator will supervise the Guest Experience Supervisor and Guest Experiences Attendants, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of our recreational programs and activities.

Working Conditions

The working conditions for this role include exposure to direct sunlight, high humidity, extremes of heat and cold, noise, and other conditions associated with the hotel environment. The work environment includes high guest contact and a noisy, crowded environment, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework in leisure services or recreation sports preferred.
  • Two years prior experience in customer service in a high-paced, detail-oriented position.
  • Ability to read, write, and type in English.
Skills
  • Knowledge of recreational programs, individual and team sports, including rules and equipment use.
  • Knowledge of sports safety requirements.
  • Ability to work with others, communicate effectively, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ability and willingness to work outside in adverse weather conditions.
Compensation Range

The compensation for this position is $65,000.00/Yr. - $65,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
