Position Overview:


This role involves the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various physical ailments, injuries, and disabilities through established rehabilitation techniques and modalities, adhering to recognized standards in the field of physical therapy.

The Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for guiding, educating, and training patients along with their support systems.

Job Specifics:
Focus on outpatient rehabilitation services.

Work Schedule:
Four 9-hour shifts with Wednesdays designated as a day off.

Mon: 9 AM - 6:30 PM

Tues: 9 AM - 6:30 PM

Thurs: 9 AM - 6:30 PM

Fri: 8 AM - 5:30 PM

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct and document initial and ongoing evaluations of patients' conditions.
  • Formulate treatment plans outlining strategies, objectives, and expected outcomes, which may include exercise programs both in-clinic and at home to enhance flexibility, strength, and endurance.
  • Utilize various therapeutic modalities to alleviate pain and minimize swelling.
  • Provide guidance on the appropriate selection and use of adaptive equipment and support resources.
  • Assist in restoring physical function, enhancing mobility, alleviating discomfort, and preventing long-term disability.
  • Assess patients' capabilities for independence and reintegration into their communities post-injury or illness.
  • Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health while adhering to service behavior standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience, preferably in a clinical environment.
Preferred:
  • At least one year of experience in pelvic health.
  • Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) certification.
