Speech Therapy Assistant Needed

About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paraprofessional or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team in a school setting.

This is a contract position that will run from January to May, providing valuable support to our Speech-Language Pathologists.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field, with previous experience as a paraprofessional or speech-language pathology assistant in a school setting preferred.

The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and support staff, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and have knowledge of relevant assistive technology and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing therapeutic interventions and strategies.
  • Work closely with students in both individual and small group settings to support their communication and language development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the overall educational plan.
  • Provide feedback to the Speech-Language Pathologist regarding student progress and performance.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with communication disorders.

Contract Details:

  • Duration: January to May.
  • Full-time position (Monday to Friday).
