Job Title: Cardiovascular Technologist

At Alto Health Care Staffing, we are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular and vascular diseases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a wide range of vascular interventional radiography procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, stent placements, and thrombolysis under the guidance of a radiologist.
  • Assist in cardiovascular imaging procedures, such as echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac catheterizations, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and provide emotional support to alleviate anxiety.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond promptly to any complications or changes in their condition.
  • Operate and maintain specialized medical equipment, including angiography machines, fluoroscopy units, and ultrasound devices.
  • Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and yourself.
  • Accurately document patient information, procedure details, and any complications in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and ensure smooth workflow in the catheterization and radiology labs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology or a related field (or equivalent).
  • Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CCT) credential or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification.
  • State licensure or certification in radiologic technology.
  • Proficiency in vascular interventional radiography techniques and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and pathology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
