Key Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional patient care by performing delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living.
- Assist the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCT's skills/training and the needs of the Department.
- Participate in the implementation of nursing care plans by performing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the licensed nurse.
- Obtain and record initial and ongoing patient information throughout the cycle of care, including admissions data, vital signs, height and weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, intake and output, calorie counts, and other patient information as outlined by policy.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living to include eating and drinking, bathing, shaving, oral care, grooming, and elimination.
- Engage in evidence-based best practices that enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication fundamentals/AIDET, Teach-Back, Narrating Care, etc.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility in Okeechobee County. We offer inpatient and outpatient services, and are licensed by Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration as a Primary Stroke Center. We provide diagnostic services accredited by the American College of Radiology, and our Hospital's surgical services include minimally invasive procedures. We are seeking dedicated professionals to join our healthcare team and contribute to the well-being of our patients and community.
