Classical Christian Schools is seeking a qualified part-time Latin instructor for our Upper School. This role offers the chance to teach additional humanities subjects as well. Ideal candidates include seasoned educators or those who have retired from teaching and wish to engage part-time in a Christ-centered, classical educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruct Latin language and translation courses for Upper School students.
- Develop and maintain course syllabi, learning objectives, and grading records in alignment with the school's curriculum and standards.
- Contribute to a school culture rooted in love for Christ and community.
- Exemplify lifelong learning and embody the mission of the institution.
- Engage in staff development days and participate in teacher training initiatives.
- Be an active participant in school life and special events, fostering relationships with colleagues and families throughout the academic year.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Commitment to the Christian faith.
- Enthusiasm for Christian education and dedication to student development.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with basic computer proficiency.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
- Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- 1-3+ years of experience in a related educational field is preferred.
- Experience in a Christian, Classical, and collaborative educational model is advantageous but not mandatory.
