Job Description Summary

GE Renewable Energy Power and Aviation is seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Test Facilities Electrical Engineering (TFEE) group, you will be responsible for providing engineering services for design and build-up of test infrastructure and enabling systems in support of our engineering initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Develop and document project objectives, requirements, and assumptions necessary to plan and execute capital projects focused on the modification or expansion of existing industrial processes.
  • Identify and pursue additional needed resources, and stakeholders beyond the operator/customer.
  • Manage project deliverables so they complete to forecasted plan.
  • Provide procurement support - procurement strategy, identification of suppliers, coordination of delivery, and storage of hardware/equipment.
  • Oversee installation and execution of assigned projects through continual engagement with engineering, operations, internal trades, and contractors.
  • Identify and manage project risks throughout project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate a regular rhythm of clear project communications with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Engage with plant operators, controls specialists, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot process upsets.
  • Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management and engineering.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as Quality/Process Engineer or Project Manager
  • BS/MS degree in engineering from an accredited university or college

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
  • Active US government Secret Security Clearance, preferred with AP approval.
