Job Summary

As an In-Home Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing guidance, encouragement, and support to individuals with disabilities in their homes or communities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing individualized plans to promote independence and self-advocacy
  • Providing direct care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with daily living skills and medication management
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation, including progress notes and incident reports
  • Participating in regular meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Successful completion of background checks and medication administration training
  • Computer and math skills, as well as the ability to read, write, and solve problems
  • Good decision-making skills and the ability to respond to emergency situations
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred
