Registered Nurse Women's Health Unit Full Time Night

As a Registered Nurse in our Women's Health Unit, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care to adult and newborn patients. This is a full-time night shift position that requires a high level of clinical expertise and a passion for delivering high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and coordinate all nursing care for Labor and Delivery, Nursery, and Post Partum units.
- Manage laboring patients and fetal monitoring.
- Care for newborns from birth through discharge to home or a higher level of care.
- Provide education to new mothers on breastfeeding resources and techniques.
- Consult with lactation consultants as needed.
- Recover patients after deliveries, c-sections, or other procedures.
- Perform admission and daily assessments.
- Provide instructions to patients, family members, and significant others as appropriate.
- Communicate information about delivery progress as directed.
- Assist anesthesia personnel with epidurals and other procedures as needed.
- Current Texas Registered Nurse licensure.
- One year of recent Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery experience preferred.
- Current BLS for healthcare provider certification required.
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
- Basic Fetal Monitoring certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required within one year of hire.
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring required after 3 years of hire.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Certification (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Neonatal STABLE course required within one year of hire.
