Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at SSM Health. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Care Planning: Contribute to the assessment of patients and develop individualized care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications and monitor patients for adverse reactions, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.
  • Lab Tests and Therapies: Perform laboratory tests and therapeutic services as ordered by physicians, maintaining accurate records and communicating results to healthcare teams.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about disease treatment plans, self-care, and follow-up care, promoting holistic health and well-being.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Experience: No experience required, but a strong desire to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to a dynamic healthcare team.
Physical Demands
  • Constant Use: Speech to share information through oral communication, standing, and walking.
  • Frequent Use: Lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs, sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional Use: Lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs, lifting/moving patients, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification: American Heart Association (AHA) certification required.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License: State of Work Location or Compact Multi-State License required.
Work Environment
  • Work Shift: Evening Shift (United States of America).
  • Job Type: Employee.
  • Department: Nursing - CNA.
  • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 24 hours.
