Healthcare Clinical Consultant

Position Overview:
As a Healthcare Clinical Consultant at Sevita, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our organization is dedicated to providing community-based services that empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Deliver services in various settings, including residential, vocational, or in-home environments, ensuring comprehensive support for those you serve.
- Ensure compliance with Individual Plans, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct structured assessments with families and caregivers to gather essential information.
- Observe individuals in diverse environments such as home, school, or community to inform support strategies.
- Compile social history data and perform functional assessments to establish behavior baselines.
- Prepare and present assessment summaries and recommended behavior support plans to interdisciplinary teams.
- Advocate for the rights of individuals receiving services, participating in review committees as necessary.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of progress and activities, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with billing requirements.
- Foster healthy relationships with individuals, families, and case managers, adhering to customer service standards.
- Report any instances of abuse or neglect in accordance with established protocols.
- Support and train staff in implementing Individual Support Plans and conduct necessary training sessions.
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, socialization, and community engagement.
- Monitor health and medication administration, ensuring adherence to care directives.
- Participate in safety drills and uphold safety policies to protect individuals in emergency situations.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant human services field.
- A minimum of two years of related experience.
- Training in behavior modification techniques or experience in behavior management.
- Knowledge of specialized populations, including those with developmental disabilities or mental health challenges.
- A reliable and compassionate demeanor, with a commitment to our mission and values.
- A valid driver's license and necessary insurance if transportation is part of your responsibilities.
- Completion of all state-required training and certifications within mandated timeframes.
