CoolSys is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Installation Foreman to lead our project crews and ensure the successful completion of our commercial HVAC and refrigeration installations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising and mentoring our technicians, prioritizing and delegating tasks, and communicating effectively with our customers and stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Lead and train project crews to ensure efficient and accurate installation of HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Prioritize and delegate tasks to ensure timely completion of projects
- Communicate effectively with customers, general contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project success
- Monitor and control job costs to ensure profitability
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with peers, customers, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures, including PPE and vehicle safety
- Oversee the work of apprentices and journeymen assigned to specific projects
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree a plus
- 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction or related industry/trade
- Commercial HVAC Foreman experience required
- Ability to travel and work nights as needed
- Knowledge of construction principles and practices, including efficient use of labor hours
- Ability to organize tasks and use good judgment in making work assignments
- Ability to give clear instructions and guidance, as needed
- Ability to maintain project labor hours within acceptable limits and request change orders as needed
- Ability to ensure safe work practices and compliance with Safety policies
- Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and track record of punctuality and dependability
- Ability to use computer tools, including email, word processing, and project planning software
