Position Overview:
Hanna is currently seeking skilled bilingual and multilingual individuals to join our team as freelance interpreters in a 1099 Independent Contractor capacity. As an interpreter, you play a vital role in promoting language access for all individuals, regardless of their English proficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
As an independent contractor, you will have the autonomy to manage your own schedule, accepting appointments that fit your availability. Appointments are typically available Monday through Friday, during standard business hours.
Compensation:
Interpreters can expect to earn between $25 and $30 per hour, based on factors such as availability, experience, and language demand.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, candidates should possess:
- Fluency in English and the target language, with a strong grasp of idiomatic expressions and cultural nuances.
- Prior interpreting experience, ideally in medical, legal, or educational contexts.
- A professional demeanor, punctuality, and the ability to adapt to various situations.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- The capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to operate in diverse environments.
- Authorization to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not available.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent, or certification in interpreting or related fields.
Application Process:

Qualified candidates will then complete a skills assessment and background check before being invited to join our linguist network.
