Dubin Research & Consulting (DRC) stands as a premier trial consulting firm in the United States, with its headquarters located in New York City. Our expertise lies in devising effective trial strategies for legal professionals through the application of advanced social psychology, innovative information design methodologies, and established techniques in jury and judge persuasion, alongside our renowned research practices.
We are currently in search of a seasoned attorney with a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will possess a background in complex civil litigation. While no specific legal specialty is required, our ongoing cases encompass areas such as contract disputes, antitrust issues, SEC investigations (criminal), intellectual property, defamation, and civil fraud.
Key Responsibilities:
The selected attorney will report directly to one of DRC's Directors of Litigation Strategy, who will provide assignments, guidance, and constructive feedback. The attorney's responsibilities will include:
- Creation of focus group presentations and subsequent analyses: The attorney will conduct case intake, prepare presentation materials for focus groups, analyze focus group outcomes in collaboration with the research and psychology team, and formulate trial strategy recommendations.
- Design of demonstrative aids: The attorney will contribute to the development and conceptualization of demonstrative concepts for use in focus group presentations and during trial.
- Legal research and writing: The attorney will engage in legal research, draft memoranda, and devise strategies for effectively presenting evidence and witness testimony during trial. Responsibilities will also include drafting opening and closing statements, outlines for direct and cross-examinations to prepare witnesses for depositions and trial, and reviewing trial transcripts.
Qualifications:
- J.D. degree is required.
- A background in the commercial litigation department of a large law firm is highly preferred.
- Ability to translate intricate concepts into clear and comprehensible terms, both verbally and visually.
- Proficient in crafting compelling case themes and arguments that resonate with jurors.
Applicants must submit a writing sample and their law school transcripts to be considered for an interview.
