Position Overview: This role is situated within the Ambulatory Surgery Center PACU and focuses on providing exceptional support to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rooming patients and gathering essential patient information.
  • Preparing patients for examinations and assisting in the overall delivery of patient care.
  • Receiving comprehensive hands-on training to enhance skills and work effectively within the scope of practice.

Work Schedule: The standard work hours are Monday through Friday, with shifts available from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of one of the following: A combination of experience and training leading to a nationally recognized certification, completion of a formal Medical Assistant program, or formal medical training from the United States Armed Forces. EMT training and certification or current Washington State Nursing Assistant Certification are also acceptable.
  • Current healthcare provider BLS certification is mandatory.
  • Experience with electronic health records is preferred, particularly with Epic.

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $26.91.

Benefits: Vancouver Clinic offers a competitive Total Rewards Program. Eligibility for benefits is based on factors such as position type and FTE. Benefit-eligible employees qualify for benefits starting on the first of the month following one month of employment. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, and various supplemental benefits. A 401k retirement plan with employer contributions is also available after the first year of employment. PTO and Personal Time are accrued based on hours worked, totaling 120 hours in the first year for full-time staff, with increases in subsequent years. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked.
