Kubota is seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to lead the implementation and sustainment of safety processes within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to reduce workplace injuries and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly audits to identify and mitigate hazards, and ensure a safe working environment for employees and the company.
  • Investigate near misses and work-related injuries, prepare reports, and communicate corrective actions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide safety training and support to employees, and maintain accurate records of safety-related activities.
  • Participate in government inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Safety Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 6 years of experience in a similar role within a similar industry (or 4 years with a degree).
  • Knowledge of the distribution and logistics industry, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Forklift and powered equipment experience required.

Physical Requirements:

Typical office environment.
