Position Overview. The Safety and Security Specialist will execute the organization's security protocols and procedures, manage access control, and investigate security breaches.

Key Responsibilities. The Safety and Security Specialist will conduct regular inspections and patrols of the premises; investigate and document security incidents, provide security assistance to employees and visitors, and manage badging and access protocols for restricted areas. The Specialist will also liaise with government and contracting clients regarding security and contract-related matters. Additionally, the Specialist will offer guidance and training to staff to ensure adherence to policies and procedures and support other internal departments as required.

Qualifications

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities.
  • Capable of performing well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Adept at prioritizing tasks efficiently.
  • Flexible and responsive to organizational changes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to collaborate effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in computer skills; familiar with Microsoft Office.
  • Effective team player.
  • Proven self-starter; detail-oriented, motivated, and accountable.
  • Prior experience in security services/solutions is advantageous.
  • Experience with controlled or classified materials is a plus.
