Academic Professional Associate

We are seeking an Academic Professional to join our team at the University of Georgia Marine Institute (UGAMI). This is a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position that will provide oversight of the Institute's residential instructional programs for University students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and administer residential instructional programs at UGAMI, including identifying instructors, recruiting students, developing course budgets, and creating marketing materials.
- Act as a liaison with the UGA campus and other USG units.
- Teach courses in your area of specialty, mentor students conducting independent research projects, and provide instructional and logistical support for visiting classes.
- Represent the Institute in interactions with partners, potential funders, and other visitors, and contribute to the UGAMI administration.
- A terminal degree in Marine Sciences or a related field.
- Established record of teaching or supervising undergraduate students in a field setting.
- Evidence of history and success in administrative work.
- Background working in field stations, including familiarity with Sapelo Island and UGA.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and develop productive and collegial relationships, collaboration, and communication with various constituencies.
