We are in search of an Engineering Manager to oversee critical components of the PyTorch Compiler development, as well as to foster collaboration across various teams. Key Responsibilities:
As an Engineering Manager for Compiler Technologies, you will:
Guide a team of dedicated and innovative compiler specialists in a cutting-edge field.
Provide clear direction and stay well-informed about industry trends relevant to our domain.
Initiate new projects, particularly those that span multiple teams (e.g., defining success metrics, crafting project narratives, securing stakeholder buy-in, and establishing necessary frameworks).
Adapt to the team's needs by assuming various roles (Engineering Manager, Technical Program Manager, Product Manager, strategist, planner, communicator, etc.) as required.
Essential Qualifications:
To qualify, you should have:
Experience with PyTorch, machine learning runtimes, or compiler technologies.
A minimum of 2 years managing a team of engineers specializing in machine learning frameworks, runtimes, or compilers.
Proven leadership experience in setting strategic directions, driving initiatives, and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
Demonstrated ability in recruiting, structuring, and leading technical teams, including performance management.
Desirable Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications include:
Familiarity with PT2 technologies.
Experience with other machine learning compilers such as XLA, TVM, ONNX, Halide, and Triton.
Expertise in vertical performance optimization, GPU performance, quantization, or distributed training.
Understanding of the landscape of machine learning model architecture research.
Compensation:
$177,000/year to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
