Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Learning and Development Specialist to join our Human Resources Learning & Development team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in promoting a high-tech, hands-on approach to training across our North American sites. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate the scheduling, logistics, and coordination of employee training to meet company and internal customer objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the scheduling, logistics, and administrative tasks associated with planning and delivering technical and non-technical learning events.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support the successful rollout of training and performance support solutions across the business.
- Partner with stakeholders to define, prioritize, and develop training plans, ensuring alignment on program deliverables.
- Assist in recruiting and training subject matter experts who can facilitate highly active and engaging learning experiences for all employees.
- Collaborate to document and publish internal processes and standards.
- Use training evaluation data to identify opportunities and drive ongoing performance improvement within both the business and the training process.
- Partner with other training delivery teams across Dexcom to ensure standardization and consistency in the rollout of technical and non-technical training and performance support solutions.
- Comply with established safety practices and documented quality system procedures at all stages of training.
- 5-8 years of experience within the training space, with a minimum of 2 years managing projects.
- Extensive knowledge of theories and models of adult learning, diverse instructional modalities, and facilitation techniques.
- Strong experience in coordinating logistical tasks, developing project plans, and evaluating training effectiveness.
- Effective communication skills, comfortability with presenting issues and challenges, and ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances.
- High level of emotional intelligence, approachability, and trustworthiness.
- Proven success working with remote teams and using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
- Manufacturing experience, automation environment.
- Degrees in training, learning and development, or human performance improvement.
- Teaching, training, or facilitation certificate or credentials.
- Project management certification or comparable experience.
- Behavioral assessment certification.
- Medical device industry experience.
- Experience with start-up/scale-up organizations.
