Job Title: Senior Process/Mechanical Engineer

Longenecker & Associates (L&A) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Process/Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will contribute to the success of our mission by providing expert process and mechanical engineering services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct construction document reviews and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate process/mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects.
  • Prepare and review calculations and specifications related to P&ID development.
  • Demonstrate design experience in areas such as mechanical systems and equipment design.
  • Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations and specifications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years' experience in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering.
  • Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes and standards.
  • Significant experience providing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services on large industrial projects.
  • Ability to work in a diverse work environment and fulfill and promote L&A core values.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineer license.
  • Software experience such as AFT Falthom & Arrow, HYSIM, Bluebeam, PALS, Navisworks, etc.
  • Code experience such as API Section VIII, ANSI, ISA, and NFPA.
  • EPC project experience for the following industries: U.S. Department of Energy or other U.S. Federal Government Agency, Nuclear facilities under a nuclear quality assurance program, Manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology.
Location:

The position will be based in Greenville, SC with occasional travel to Aiken, SC as needed.
