- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
- Assist with administering treatments and examinations as directed by nurses
- Participate in restorative and rehab care with proper instruction and supervision
- Evacuate residents in emergency situations, following fire and evacuation policies
- Successful completion of a state-approved nursing aide-training program
- Ability to understand and communicate in English, both written and spoken
- Current certification and registration with the state Department of Health
- Ability to work safely and successfully, with or without reasonable accommodation
Certified Nursing Assistants use a variety of equipment, including stethoscopes, blood pressure cuffs, scales, trays, carts, Hoyer lifts, whirlpool tubs, wheelchairs, walkers, canes, charts, linens, towels, and personal hygiene supplies.
