Overview

SUMMARY:

The Quality Assurance Executive at PetroChoice is responsible for overseeing, organizing, and leading the quality assurance teams across our manufacturing and distribution operations. This role entails conducting comprehensive quality assurance and control across all facilities and related entities. The Quality Assurance Executive will develop and implement testing methodologies and standards, guide personnel on processes and procedures, and ensure that all products undergo thorough testing before they are dispatched to our clients.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. PetroChoice reserves the right to modify these duties as necessary. All tasks should be performed with minimal supervision and in alignment with company standards. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Guarantees the quality of products and processes by establishing and enforcing quality standards and conducting tests on all materials and products.
  • Manages laboratory operations, ensuring standardized testing procedures are maintained and compliance with quality standards is upheld, while ensuring accurate test results and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Defines quality and reliability standards by analyzing industry benchmarks, product specifications, and customer expectations in collaboration with leadership, commercial management, production staff, technicians, and engineers.
  • Develops and oversees raw material quality standards by assessing manufacturing and engineering needs, negotiating standards with suppliers, and creating testing methods and procedures.
  • Implements in-process inspection standards by evaluating manufacturing techniques and establishing testing methods and procedures.
  • Sets standards for the evaluation of finished products by developing assessment tests, methods, and procedures.
  • Establishes rework standards through the creation of inspection and physical testing methods and procedures.
  • Creates and maintains a product quality documentation system by drafting and updating quality assurance protocols.
  • Ensures product quality by enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures, as well as adhering to governmental regulations.
  • Collaborates with leadership to innovate new product designs and manufacturing processes, as well as training methodologies.
  • Prepares quality reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Meets quality assurance operational requirements by scheduling and assigning tasks to employees and monitoring work outcomes.
  • Builds a competent quality assurance team through effective selection, orientation, and training of staff.
  • Manages team performance by providing coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Ensures quality by planning, monitoring, and evaluating job performance.
  • Maintains professional knowledge by participating in educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, building professional networks, and engaging in professional organizations.
  • Achieves financial goals by preparing the quality assurance budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Contributes to team success by achieving related objectives as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required, along with 5-10 years of experience in a quality assurance leadership role.

Experience with quality measurement and testing equipment is essential.

Familiarity with quality system requirements is necessary.

Knowledge of safety regulations and legal standards is required.

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, project management, and analytics software is expected.

Certificates and Licenses:

A valid driver's license is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional literature, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from groups of managers, clients, and the general public.

MATH ABILITY:

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and address a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret various instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other report writing and project planning software. Experience in an ERP environment is desirable, with Epicor Prophet 21 experience being a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
