Position Summary:
The Chief People Officer is accountable for the comprehensive management, coordination, and assessment of the human resources department, supported by HR supervisors and recruitment specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees and evaluates the recruitment and hiring processes to attract, secure, and maintain skilled personnel.
- Formulates Human Resources policies, protocols, and initiatives.
- Ensures adherence to all labor laws and regulations.
- Addresses employee relations matters, collaborating with legal advisors on related concerns and litigations.
- Offers support, professional advice, and guidance to both managers and staff on various employment-related issues.
- Consults with management and employees regarding the interpretation of organizational policies.
- Conducts research, analysis, and provides recommendations on compensation, employee-related matters, benefits, and other HR concerns.
- Designs and executes HR strategies and systems that positively impact and align with the operational and growth objectives of SGA Youth & Family Services.
- Manages the administration of employee benefits, including Group Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, Life, 403(b), etc.).
- Coordinates payroll and timekeeping processes.
- Facilitates effective communication channels with employees.
- Performs additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a related Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of seven years of experience in Non-Profit Human Resources is highly preferred.
- SHRM certification or progress towards it is preferred.
- Experience in Human Services and/or Community-Based Services is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Paylocity Payroll System or other HRIS systems, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Explorer, and project management software is preferred.
- A strong sensitivity to cultural diversity is essential.
