Job Summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a skilled Health Screening Specialist to join our team. As a Health Screening Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting biometric screenings at client sites, collecting and processing blood samples, and providing basic health coaching to individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct biometric screenings at client sites, including finger stick blood collection, BMI, blood pressure, height/weight, and other health screening services.
  • Collect and process blood samples, and perform basic waived testing technical procedures.
  • Provide basic health coaching to individuals based on their screening results.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and legible records of screening results and health coaching sessions.
  • Participate in training and continuing education programs to stay up-to-date on the latest health screening techniques and technologies.
  • Comply with all designated safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment when necessary.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with finger stick blood collection experience.
  • Completion of a fingerstick within the last 1-2 years.
  • Proficient in finger stick blood collection methods and manual blood pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous medical or clinical laboratory background.
  • CardioChek Plus experience.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift light to moderately heavy objects.
  • Fine dexterity with hands and steadiness.
  • Examining and observing details.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Skills required for proper specimen and reagent handling, labeling, processing, preparation, transportation, and storage.
Education and Certifications
  • Some college courses.
  • Meet state licensure requirements, if applicable.
