Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Home-Based Program Specialist. This role is responsible for planning and implementing a child development and family support program in the home-based setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement an early education curriculum (birth to three) in the home and center setting, emphasizing the parent-child relationship.
  • Conduct weekly 90-minute home visits to young children and their families, providing a healthy and safe environment that encourages play, exploration, and learning.
  • Provide child development and parenting information to families, monitoring and educating parents on children's health status, including medical follow-up, physical health, dental health, mental health, and nutritional intake.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to a code of ethics at all times.
Requirements
  • Minimum of home-based CDA credential or comparable credential, or equivalent coursework as part of an associate's or bachelor's degree and one year experience in childcare or early childhood setting or working with families with young children.
  • Associates Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field. Bachelors Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation, a valid Michigan driver license, and CPR and First Aid Certificates are required.
