Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
- Operationalize the objectives, policies, and procedures of the Medical Center and Clinical Services for a specific shift.
- Assume accountability for monitoring all department activity, including patient flow, staffing, assignment of care, and staff development.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Medical Center policies.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Evidence of enrollment in a BSN program.
- Two years of clinical experience preferred.
- Leadership experience required.
- Licensed in the State of Vermont.
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
- Unit-specific certifications as required (ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC) per specific department operational framework.
- Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification based on department specific guidelines.
- Basic Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills.
- Clinical nursing skills.
- Leadership ability.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
