Laboratory Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for directing the activities of Phlebotomists and/or Specimen Technicians, ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory support areas, and overseeing all support workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and supervise the work of Phlebotomists and/or Specimen Technicians
- Monitor and maintain laboratory support areas, including quality control and quality assurance
- Oversee all support workflows, including offsite laboratory locations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, OSHA/VOSHA Standard Precautions, and hospital safety policies
- Communicate effectively with physicians, office staff, and hospital employees to provide clinical laboratory information
- Associate's degree in a health-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years of Phlebotomy/Laboratory experience; supervisory experience preferred
- Certification by a national agency
- Familiarity with clerk phlebotomy operations and offsite workflow processes
- Knowledge of quality improvement, centrifuge and eye wash maintenance, and refrigerator temperature logs
- Knowledge of inventory control
