Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Duke University Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room
  • Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team
  • Monitor and maintain patient safety during procedures
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective care

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or maintains an accredited Surgical Technologist certification (NCCT or NBSTSA)
  • 0-18 months of full-time equivalent Surgical Technology experience
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure in a stressful environment
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of anatomy relating to the surgical procedure and the instrumentation required
