We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Practice Assistant II to join our team at Brigham and Women's Hospital's Ambulatory Infusion Center. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient daily operation of our infusion services.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Practice Manager and Practice Coordinator to maintain patient scheduling, referrals, and specialty pharmacy medication coordination.
- Work closely with administrative staff, including front desk and scheduling staff, to ensure seamless patient throughput and scheduling processes.
- Participate in the implementation of BWH Ambulatory initiatives and strategic growth plans, working closely with referring physicians, peers, and staff to create a positive culture and work environment.
- Lead initiatives to create a high level of customer service, working closely with all staff and providers to create the ideal patient experience and environment.
- Ensure the Patient Information Area is properly maintained as a resource for patients.
- Support the Practice Manager and Practice Coordinator on development and implementation of process improvement initiatives and new projects.
- High School Diploma/GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Clinical Operations and Scheduling experience preferred, ideally within Infusion or in Ambulatory Healthcare Practice Environment.
- Strong organizational, coordination, and judgment skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information and situations with poise and professionalism.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, following established protocols, and work within systems.
- Exhibit flexibility and function effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment.
This role will work in a Hospital-based Ambulatory Practice, with some exposure to communicable diseases, unpleasant odors, needles, and blood products.
