Medical Assistant

OnPoint Family Medicine at Dakota Ridge is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to provide exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare team.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a compassionate demeanor, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming patients and preparing them for healthcare visits by placing them in exam rooms, obtaining medical history, and verifying patient information.
- Documenting accurate and complete vital signs, as well as populating electronic medical records with relevant patient information.
- Assisting healthcare providers during examinations and treatments, performing point-of-care tests as needed, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Providing exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries, and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintaining accurate records, including medical histories, medications, and test results, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care, and participating in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited healthcare program preferred.
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent experience required.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records (EMRs), and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly and respectfully with patients and colleagues, and maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced setting.
