AV Support and Integration Technician

The AV content team at Tesla is responsible for delivering exceptional live external and internal events, including AI Day, new vehicle announcements, and earnings calls. We are seeking a highly motivated student to support the company's growing AV and event needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute and support major AV integration projects, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality results.
  • Provide event support and setup in coordination with the entire AV team, ensuring a smooth and successful experience.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and planning with IT and Facilities teams to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Represent customer input in both technical and business terms, ensuring the value of projects is realized.
  • Provide troubleshooting in crisis situations for users, demonstrating expertise and professionalism.
  • Develop and implement hardware and software integrations to streamline support and enhance the user experience.
  • Provide backup support services in the absence of other AV Support Technicians, ensuring continuity and reliability.
  • Create end-user and internal AV team documentation, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Work closely with IT and AV Engineers to ensure thorough and complete handoffs for new office builds.
  • Maintain a photo database and event coverage archives, showcasing Tesla's events and achievements.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, UDP, and IP schemas.
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in an educational program and graduating between 2025-2026.
  • Strong knowledge of AV system support, including operation, installation, and configuration of projectors, amplifiers, AV matrix routers, control systems, and touch panels.
  • Experience installing and configuring computer systems in a networked computing environment, with a focus on diagnostic techniques for problem troubleshooting.
  • Ability to independently plan and organize work, manage priorities, and utilize available resources to complete quality work within time constraints.
  • Live event experience preferred, with a focus on adaptability and flexibility.
  • Microsoft Teams experience preferred, with a focus on collaboration and communication.
  • Certification or related technical certificates a plus, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field.
  • Photoshop experience and skills with Microsoft Office packages preferred, showcasing creativity and technical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in an extremely fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and quality.
  • Happy to travel and attend events globally as needed, with a focus on adaptability and flexibility.
  • Clean, valid driving license, with a focus on safety and responsibility.

Expected Compensation: $24.00 - $33.00 + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
