Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Planning: Utilize the nursing process to assess patient health status, determine nursing diagnosis, establish nursing goals, and develop, implement, and evaluate the nursing plan of care.
- Documentation and Communication: Accurately document patient data, actions, interventions, and response to treatment according to established policies and guidelines.
- Procedure Assistance and Monitoring: Assist with procedures and monitor patients' response during and after the procedure.
- Team Collaboration: Actively participate, as a member of the healthcare team, to engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of patient care.
- Emergency Response: Lead the nursing response to medical emergencies, if indicated.
- Medication Administration: Initiate and monitor IV therapy, administration of medications, and other nursing procedures as prescribed by the physician or associate practitioner, and document accordingly.
- Health Education: Assess patient and family health education needs, provide health teaching and counseling, and evaluate effectiveness of the education process.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement activities and/or initiatives.
- Training and Development: Participate in departmental orientation and training of new staff.
- Experience: Minimum one (1) year of RN clinical experience or have completed the Kaiser Permanente Georgia Nurse Residency program.
- Education: Associates degree in nursing.
- License, Certification, Registration: Registered Professional Nurse License (Georgia) required at hire, Basic Life Support required at hire.
