Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Staff Nurse II to join our Virtual Care team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to our members through various digital and telephonic channels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize telecommunications technology to provide patient care and manage electronic and telephonic patient messages.
  • Determine the appropriateness and acuity of patient needs based on electronic or telephonic message content and prioritize accordingly.
  • Apply nursing assessment and critical thinking skills to evaluate and triage patients virtually, via telephone, secure email, or other available electronic tools.
  • Communicate member queries requiring physician or healthcare team involvement, intervention, or follow-up in a timely manner.
  • Provide telephonic and electronic interactions with patients that require follow-up care and/or preventative outreach.
  • Accurately document patient data, actions, interventions, and response to treatment according to established policies, protocols, and guidelines.

Requirements:
  • Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Associates degree in Nursing.
  • Registered Professional Nurse License (Georgia) required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support required at hire from American Heart Association.
