Basic Qualifications

Prerequisites:
  • Must be a local resident.
  • Possession of a valid in-state driver's license.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Ability to undergo a background check covering up to 10 years.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Authorization to work in the United States as per the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
  • Completion of ramp and SIDA training to secure airport authority identification.
Experience:
  • Minimum of four years of relevant experience, with a willingness to collaborate as part of a detail-oriented team.

Working Conditions

Work Schedule:

Flexibility is required to accommodate various shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, as the role operates within a shift bid framework.

Work Environment:
  • Must maintain alertness to moving vehicles or aircraft and utilize radio equipment.
  • Enjoy outdoor conditions daily, regardless of weather (sun, rain, sleet, or snow), and may be exposed to diverse weather elements, machinery noises, fumes, dirt, and dust for extended durations.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, pull, and move items weighing 70 pounds or more, with the capacity to repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on elevated surfaces.
  • Must be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods.
  • Capability to work in confined or elevated spaces.
  • Ability to transport heavy items up and down jetway stairs.
