Lead Nursing Coordinator for Pulmonary and Renal Services

We are seeking an experienced Lead Nursing Coordinator to join our team at Albany Medical Center. This is a dynamic role that requires strong leadership and coordination skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care in our pulmonary and renal services.
About the Role- The Lead Nursing Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the coordination of patient care activities, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- They will work closely with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
As a Lead Nursing Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating patient care activities, including developing and implementing care plans.
- Mentoring and guiding nursing staff to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to provide high-quality patient care.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that support patient care.
- Monitoring and analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a nursing leadership or coordination role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.
