Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimation: Analyze drawings and documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, utilizing knowledge of building codes and technical data.
  • Purchasing: Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms, pricing, and delivery for materials, while maintaining a positive rapport with current and new suppliers.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, reconcile physical inventory records, and maintain accurate records to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Communication: Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, and contractors to ensure accuracy and provide clear communication on project estimates and procurement.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Associate degree or equivalent experience in Estimating, Material Management, and/or Procurement, with 1-2 years of purchasing experience and 2-3 years of experience in lumber and construction/manufacturing.
  • Skills: Proficient in Office programs, self-directed, exceptional organization, effective communication skills, detail-oriented, mathematic skills, superior customer service skills, negotiation skills, teamwork mentality, willingness to learn, and ability to take initiative to resolve issues.
